To use them, you simply plug the appliance you wish to control into the adaptor. You can then turn off the appliances from anywhere in the world using the MiHome app or web browser. You can create pre-timed settings so your appliance turns on automatically. And they work with IFTTT, which means your appliances can become reactive to external conditions like the weather.
