Parachute cord is a 1/8 Inch nylon utility cord. It is great for use with cord locks in all types of sewing applications. Our parachute style cord is most commonly used for drawstrings in pants, bags, shorts, backpacks, etc. and is NOT actually for use in parachutes. Whatever you decide on, this cord will do the trick and provide many years of durable use. According to the mill, our Parachute Cord has a break strength of 550 Lbs; however, the working strength should only be considered one third of that number.
