Domaine Morey-Coffinet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Caillerets Blanc 2012

Morey-Coffinet is run by Michel Morey and his son Thibault who are very much the 'heart' of Chassagne. The wines are vibrant, exciting and modern tasting. Thibault explained that they are made to represent the terroir and to be drunk young, when fresh. They do however have potential to age. This is a domaine to watch. The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru comes from vines planted on two very different parcels of land - one is rich and deep and the other chalky and rocky.
